Among the few pleasant surprises at the State of Play (even if a leak spoiled it), we were treated to the return of Legacy of Kain. To mark the 25th anniversary of the first original game, Aspyr and Crystal Dynamics have indeed announced Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered with a first trailer, which will bring together the two entries in this mythical franchise and have fans jumping with joy.
Improved and Smoother Gameplay
Once again, players will be able to play as Raziel in his quest for revenge against his master, who murdered him. This remaster will feature reworked textures, both for graphical effects and 3D models, as well as a photo mode. On top of this, Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered will feature a reworked camera, new control modes and improved performance.
This should enable you to play these two games a little more effectively than in the past. In fact, as the trailer shows, the work on textures looks really well done, and we can’t wait to see the result when it’s released. And we really hope that the release of this remaster will lead to the revival of the license, which hasn’t been seen since 2003, and its Legacy of Kain: Defiance.
Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered will be released December 10 on PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
