Since the release of Baldur’s Gate 3, the modding community has been busy modifying the entire game, but it’s only recently that official mod support has been added to the game. The title’s patch 7 was released a few weeks ago on PC to check that everything was working properly before applying the update to other platforms. Now that Larian has made all the preparations, this update is available on consoles and Mac.
Modify the Adventure as You Wish with Mods
With this patch, you can finally access mods on PS5 or Xbox Series, even if you still have to go through the PC to create new ones. Since the PC community has had a bit of a head start, many mods are already available from the beginning, and they’re very popular, as Larian already counts 15 million mod downloads. To celebrate the arrival of this patch, a short animated film produced with Mashed has been released.
Patch 7 is relatively massive, and doesn’t focus on mods alone. There are also new endings for those who have taken the darker path, while new Legendary Actions have been added, along with an extra difficulty mode for Honor Mode. The studio also took the opportunity to revise the local co-op mode with a split-screen, which will now merge its two sides when two people find themselves next to each other.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is available on PC, Xbox Series and PS5. Feel free to check out our review for more details.
