Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s roadmap comes to an end with the arrival of Deathstroke in the game. Following the confirmation of season 4, the future of Rocksteady’s title remained unclear, even if no positive outcome was expected at this stage. The studio has now confirmed the plans it had in mind, which will come as no surprise to anyone: after season 4, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will come to an end.
Servers Remain Open, for Now
Let’s face it, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been around longer than expected. With the game’s disastrous launch, layoffs at Rocksteady and DC’s massive money loss caused by the game, all the ingredients were in place for a swift closure. Still, the studio managed to follow through on its promises, releasing four seasons for the game, the most recent one arriving today, December 10.
In a new blog post, Rocksteady announces that season 4 will be the last for the game. After that, don’t expect any new seasonal content, as the conflict against Brainiac will come to an end with episode 8 of season 4, i.e. after January 14, 2025, a few days before the game’s first anniversary. However, the game’s servers won’t be shutting down, and there’s no intention of removing the game from stores. Rocksteady will simply move on to other projects, putting this one aside once and for all. It’s the end of a long misery for the teams.
And before leaving, a final gift will be made to the community: the presence of an offline mode. It arrives with Season 4 today, and allows you to explore all the game’s content without having to connect to the Internet.
