2025 will be a crucial year for Obsidian. At the beginning of the year, the studio will first have to ensure the launch of Avowed, an ambitious RPG that will be available only on Xbox Series and PC, for the time being. Then, it will put all its efforts into completing the development of The Outer Worlds 2, also scheduled for 2025. This was revealed at the Game Awards, after several years without any news about the game.
No Exclusivity on the Agenda
The Outer Worlds 2 is finally back after a long absence, and Obsidian has decided to present a first gameplay trailer to give us a better idea of what this sequel will offer.
The formula doesn’t seem to have changed in this sequel, which takes us to the colony of Arcania to investigate a mystery that puts the entire galaxy at risk. In addition to its stunning direction, the RPG will of course offer a host of choices that will shape your adventure, just like the first opus.
The biggest news here is the game’s release date, which is set for 2025 on PC, Xbox Series… and PS5. So, the title will be one of the Xbox Game Studios games that won’t be exclusive to Microsoft. Probably because the first episode has already been released by PlayStation, making this port more logical.
