Alan Wake 2 has now been available for almost a year, and Remedy is currently working on completing the game’s second major expansion, The Lake House. However, the studio doesn’t want to let down those who don’t want to pay for additional content. That’s why, as a birthday present to celebrate the game’s first year, a special update is planned with plenty of content.
Never Run Out of Ammunition Again
Remedy has published a new blog post in which it explains that it intends to release an anniversary update for Alan Wake 2, which will be available to everyone starting from October 22.
It will contain several features that will make the experience more flexible and enjoyable. First of all, PlayStation players will benefit from improved DualSense support, with the use of the controller’s gyroscope and increased haptic feedback on objects (and not just weapons).
Overall, the ability to invert the X and Y axes will be added, plus an Assist menu with plenty of options to modify as you wish, such as automatically executing QTEs, unlimited ammunition, endless flashlight battery recharges, endless healing items… Enough to make the experience less frustrating if you only want to concentrate on the game’s story.
Alan Wake 2 is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series. Check out our review for more details.
