After a record-breaking year for Football Manager 2024, with over 14 million players across all platforms, Sports Interactive and SEGA unveil the next chapter in the famous franchise, Football Manager 2025. Football fans will have the opportunity to manage a new team with a number of new features on the program, including a major leap forward for the license.

While the classic annual licenses make few changes (not EA Sport FC 25), the announcement of Football Manager 25 promises to shake things up. First of all, FM25’s big leap is the transition to the Unity engine, bringing the biggest visual and technical boost in the series. The user interface has been completely redesigned to offer smoother, more elegant navigation, while preserving the attention to detail that the studio believes has made the franchise such a success. In addition, graphics and player animations are now based on real matches, making Matchdays even more immersive.

The other main new feature of FM25 is the introduction of women’s Football, which is now part of a unified ecosystem with men’s football. This development allows players to explore a new dimension of the sport, while benefiting from Sports Interactive’s exclusive partnership with the Premier League. Miles Jacobson, Studio Director at Sports Interactive, shared his enthusiasm:

FM25 is just the beginning of a new era for us, marking the transition to Unity and the addition of women’s soccer, both long-standing projects. We can’t wait to share these new features with our fans, and to unveil more in the coming weeks.

Football Manager 25 is scheduled for release on November 26 on PC/Mac, as well as on Xbox and PlayStation 5 as FM25 Console. The game will also be available via Xbox Game Pass. Nintendo Switch players will be able to enjoy FM25 Touch, scheduled for release on December 3. The mobile version, FM25 Mobile, will be available exclusively on Netflix, also on November 26. This edition will include women’s leagues and the Premier League license, while allowing players to transfer their FM24 Mobile saves.

The studio has also published a roadmap detailing the new features of this release. More information on leagues and licenses will be revealed on social networks.
