Path of Exile 2 Has Already Reached over One Million Early Access Subscribers, Causing Some Traffic Jams

by Gamingstry

It’s a busy start of the month for us at the moment, at least for a month like December, which is usually a quiet period for releases. While many free-to-play titles have attracted crowds in recent days, some people prefer to break their piggy banks and devote themselves entirely to the release of Path of Exile 2. The hack’n slash game is now available for early access, and offers a more than interesting alternative to Diablo IV. A title so highly anticipated that it has already surpassed the one million mark on the starting line.

If you’re taking part in Path of Exile 2’s early access, you’re likely to encounter a few problems logging in. The reason is simple: there will be too many people on the servers. It’s a common complaint that we’ve come to know all too well, as it occurs with each new game launch. Path of Exile 2 is available as of today, but is proving so popular that server problems have spoiled the party.

The title recorded over a million subscribers for its early access launch, and while this enables Grinding Gear Games to break out the champagne, it hadn’t anticipated that its game would be so crowded from the outset. As a result, director Jonathan Rogers has announced via a social media post that lines will certainly be present throughout the weekend, given the rush surrounding Path of Exile 2. He added that, in response to the huge demand, additional servers have already been ordered and will soon be in place.
