Today’s Xbox conference at the Tokyo Game Show was naturally focused on Asian productions. However, Phil Spencer took the opportunity to give an update on in-house productions for the brand, which now owns the Activision-Blizzard portfolio. During the showcase, the Microsoft Gaming CEO appeared wearing a StarCraft t-shirt, which he didn’t pick randomly from his wardrobe.
Two Great Classics Adding Weight to Game Pass
It’s probably too early to hope for a new episode of the license, but Xbox aims to use the opportunity to add a big name to its Xbox Game Pass.
So Phil Spencer took advantage of the Tokyo Game Show conference to make a rather surprising announcement, concerning the arrival of StarCraft: Remastered and StarCraft II to the subscription. However, we should clarify that these are the PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plans. Therefore, the new Standard plan is excluded since the game is only playable on PC anyway.
To replay these two great classics via subscription, you’ll simply have to wait until November 5. Does this mean that Xbox could be relaunching Blizzard’s series in the near future? Well, no one knows for sure…
