While it may have seemed quite ordinary when we first saw it, except for its flashy art direction, The First Berserker: Khazan could end up being one of the best picks in the Souls-like category. Its latest beta has enabled it to show off some of its qualities, making it one of the most highly-anticipated titles in the genre for 2025. The Game Awards ceremony was a natural opportunity for it to make a comeback, and it was the perfect time to announce its release date.
You’ll (Maybe) Have Time to Finish Your February Backlog
The game’s release date has been announced with a brand new video, even though it has been known for a few days through a leak. Nevertheless, Nexon is making its mark by announcing today that The First Berserker: Khazan will be available starting March 27, 2025.
Given the game’s fixed release date, we were almost afraid that it would make the mistake of dropping in the middle of February, given that the entire industry seems to have made a date for itself during that month. With a late March release, at least we’ll have a clearer schedule to enjoy it. What’s more, a demo will be available from January 16 to find out whether the title is suitable for you or not.
We’re taking advantage of this opportunity to see a few more snippets of the game’s universe via a CGI trailer, which looks as dark and violent as ever, with plenty of monsters to slay. Unless it’s the monsters that go first, in the great Souls-like tradition.
The First Berserker: Khazan is scheduled for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
