Today is a special day for The Last of Us fans. It’s The Last of Us Day, because September 26 is the date on which everything was turned upside down in the universe of this license. So it’s the perfect day to learn all about Naughty Dog’s games, starting with the HBO series and its season 2. The series is scheduled to begin streaming in the early months of next year, and the first trailer is here.
A First Look That Leaves You Wanting More
As promised, this season will adapt a large part of The Last of Us Part II, as we can see with some shots that reproduce some of the game’s most iconic scenes.
The series will also bring us its share of brand-new scenes, but we won’t say more at the moment to avoid spoiling those who follow the history of the license through this series. We can already tell you that there will be plenty of emotion and tension, since HBO has not spared any expense in this adaptation. Given the success of the first season, the opposite would have been surprising.
There’s still no exact release date for The Last of Us season 2, but in theory it should air on Max in the first half of 2025. So we won’t have to wait that long.
