Lies of P was one of last year’s great surprises, even from a commercial point of view. The game quickly exceeded one million copies in sales, enabling studio Neowiz to follow up with the production of a DLC. To celebrate the game’s first anniversary, a new image for this expansion has been released, along with a long letter from the game’s director, who also talks about the license’s future.
Winter Is Coming
We can’t be sure when the Lies of P DLC will be released exactly. But we do have an image of the latter ( shown below), in which our protagonist visits an icy region looking as dark as ever.
Jiwon Choi, the game’s director, was also keen to celebrate Lies of P’s anniversary with a message to the community. Apart from the fact that it’s very hot in Korea at the moment (which is quite the opposite of the atmosphere of the DLC), the message highlights the very high ambitions for this new content, as well as for Lies of P 2:
Just be patient, because we don’t expect this DLC to arrive in the next few weeks. But at least we have new confirmation that the game’s sequel is indeed in development, even if we’ll have to wait a while for that too.
