We were convinced that Electronic Arts was going to maintain the release date of Star Wars Jedi Survivor at all costs, even though we haven’t seen much of the game yet, but in the end, the publisher won’t be able to count on this highly anticipated title to fill its pockets before the end of the fiscal year. So it’s shocking to learn tonight that Star Wars Jedi Survivor won’t be released on March 17th as initially planned, as the game has been postponed by a few weeks.
Between zombies and the Sith, you will have the choice
Don’t worry, you won’t have to wait for months to see Cal Kestis again, but Respawn has decided to give itself six more weeks to refine the second opus of its license. That’s why Star Wars Jedi Survivor has now been pushed back to April 28.
The studio released a statement to let people know that this delay is necessary to work out the final details of the experience:
A slight postponement that consequently brings the game out on the same day as Dead Island 2, which probably doesn’t help either title even though both offer radically different experiences. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
