After admitting that the initial results for its game were a little disappointing, Ubisoft is looking to make up for the poor launch of Star Wars Outlaws. The major step in this recovery will be the release of the title on Steam, in an attempt to attract a wider audience before the holiday season. But the publisher still needs to make the game more enjoyable until then, at least for those who already own the game, which is why three massive updates are on the way.
Next Steps for Star Wars Outlaws Follow-up
The publisher wants to play the transparency card by publishing a new roadmap for future updates and DLC for Star Wars Outlaws. It only extends to the end of the year for the moment, and shows that three massive updates are being prepared, the first being released on October 3. It will focus on bug fixes and improve the game’s overall experience.
This will be followed by another update on October 24, which should focus on adding features to make the game more enjoyable. We’ll then have to wait until November 21, when the game will be released on Steam, for an update focusing on the combat and infiltration mechanics, which have been widely criticized in press reviews and by the public.
It’s also on this date that the first paid DLC, Wild Card, with the famous Lando will be available, and if you don’t feel like pulling out your credit card, you’ll still find additional contracts to complete through the free update.
Star Wars Outlaws is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series. Check out our full review of the game to find out more.
