CD Projekt RED has released the new Hotfix 1.06 update and it’s available for both PC and consoles, which provides some important fixes.
The most important problem that the update targets is the save files that have more than 8MB which were permanently damaged in the computer version, however, it does not fix files that have already been corrupted, they are lost forever, as CDPR previously warned, but it fixes the problem and won’t happen again anymore.
The stability of the game was also improved and the number of technical problems (crashes) of console versions was reduced, which the owners of the PS4 and PS5 versions suffered. Although the previous update was supposed to fix the same problem, but those crashes remained present after all.
According to the update notes it fixes the following:
For missions: Dum Dum will no longer disappear from the Totentanz entrance during the second conflict, and the console versions also improve memory management and stability, alleviating technical problems, and as for the computer version, it stopped the 8MB file size problem as mentioned above.
