Electronic Arts have published a short film presenting the world of Battlefield 2042, a 100% multiplayer campaign that will still tell us a story, mainly through its “Specialists”.
Named Exodus, this short film reveals the events that triggered the global war set up in Battlefield 2042. It includes the character of Kimble “Irish” Graves, first introduced in Battlefield 4 and played by Michael K. Williams (The Wire, Boardwalk Empire…). He is coming back here as a Specialist, these playable characters each with a different skill set and specialty. Electronic Arts will narrate the backstories of these Specialists to dive into the world of Battlefield 2042. “The narrative will continue to evolve over time as new Specialists join the conflict. They will each have their own story to tell and will further immerse players in the world of Battlefield 2042” the publisher announced.
Irish is the fifth Battlefield 2042 Specialist to be announced, alongside Webster Mackay, Maria Falck, Pyotr “Boris” Guskovsky, and Wikus “Casper” Van Daele, who are all introduced here. Five more will be revealed in the next few weeks, making a total of ten Specialists when the game is available on October 22.
